The also control scale, mites, and white flies.They won't be eaten by other insects as they emit a chemical to smell bad and not taste good .Additionally the bright red color warns other predators " I dont taste good, keep away ". The lady beetle is one of the most widely used beneficial insect in North America. We've released these little ladies over the years, and seen first hand results without the use of chemical pesticdes.
